Overview
Entertainer/Organizers
(E/O) are
Extroverted, Sensing, Feeling types. Extroverted sensation in the
dominant position is seen only in opposing combinations. This can
create a pulling and tugging of needs in that extroverts prefer
action and people contact, and are expansive in nature, while sensors
are more concerned with data and facts and prefer to work with these
in reserved ways. With this opposition, conflicts may arise when
E/Os are paradoxically spontaneous then structured, quiet then outspoken,
playful then distant, or orderly then disorganized. E/Os are typically
torn between the desire to be expansive, open and to interact with
others and the need to withdraw in order to attend to details and
facts. Extroverts get their energy from activity and interaction
with people, but activity and interaction interfere with close attention
to detail. The result is often frustration. E/Os are most effective
in environments where there is basic structure, with the potential
for flexibility.
