When Part 1 and Part 2 Do Not Match

The discovery process on this page is easiest to follow with a copy of your Client Profile Sheet which overviews the results of your profile. If you do not have access to your reports, ask your CORE Facilitator for assistance.

Incongruent profiles are either a result of 1) early or prolonged conditioning that has altered your self-perception or 2) a need to adjust your life according to current circumstances, causing you to adopt an unconscious preference into conscious mode.

Looking at temperaments and preferences in conjunction with one another can tell you how well you know and understand yourself, and whether you are functioning in the manner best suited to your nature.

If Part 1 and Part 2 don’t match, determining where they don’t match will give you some very valuable insights. Your CORE Facilitator will help you determine which profile is correct and which one is conditioned. To assist you in the discovery process:

  1. If you have not already done so, begin by reading the overviews that correspond with the results of Parts 1 and 2. You can link to the overviews directly from your online reports. Does one ring truer than another?

    A good rule of thumb:
If the overview describes you, but you are not energized or comforted by what it says, it is probably conditioned. If none of the overviews indicated in your profile seem to fit, try reading the other combinations to see if one fits you more accurately. You can view all of the combinations from the Evaluation Main Page.

  2. If you are still unsure which profile is a more accurate representation of your true nature, compare the matching preferences for each combination. Using the information on your Client Profile Sheet, compare the "Matching Preference Code" from Part 1 to the "Preference Code" on Part 2.

Comparing the Preference Codes for Parts 1 and 2

STEP 1: Compare Extroversion to Introversion. If the first two letters of the Preference Code are capital letters, it indicates that you lead with Extroversion. If the first two letters are lower case, it indicates that you lead with Introversion. If Parts 1 and 2 match (both indicate Extroversion or both indicate Introversion), continue with step 2. If they do not match (one says Extroversion and the other says Introversion), click on the link below that accurately describes your profile:

Part 1 indicated that you were an Extrovert (you lead with either Commander or Entertainer), but
Part 2
indicated that you are an Introvert (N was higher than X)

Part 1 indicated that you were an Introvert (you lead with either Organizer or Relater), but
Part 2
indicated that you are an Extrovert (X was higher than N)

STEP 2: Compare Sensing to Intuition. The first two letters in the Preference Code are the functions that you really on most often (this is the preferred set of functions). You will see either an S or I in the preferred set (not both). If Parts 1 and 2 match (both indicate S or both indicate I), continue with step 3. If they do not match (one indicates S and the other indicates I), click on the link below that accurately describes your profile:

Part 1 indicated that you are an Intuitive type (your matching preference code has an I in the first or second position), but Part 2 indicated that you are a Sensing type (S was higher than I)

STEP 3: Compare Thinking to Feeling. You will see either a T or F in the preferred set (not both). If Parts 1 and 2 match (both indicate T or both indicate F), you do not need to go any further. If they do not match (one indicates T and the other indicates F), click on the link below that accurately describes your profile:
